I'm sitting here, as I watch leaves being violently blown off the trees, I'm reminded how quickly the weather changes from blistering hot to bone-chilling cold. You have to love Midwest weather and in particular, the ever-changing chaos of Chicago weather. I'm a summer person. I wasn't always, but after living in Central America for 3 years, I became one and I really dislike the cold. We combat this by having fire after fire at our house in the fall/winter/spring. I love the way it looks and sounds. The crackling of the fire when there aren't any other noises in the house, the way the light bounces around the room, and even the smell outside of firewood burning. In order to do this, we have to keep firewood at our house at all times. That might be a problem with some companies, because the firewood business can be seasonal, like snowplowing or landscaping. Some companies don't have firewood when you need it. But no worries, because we provide firewood to businesses as well as residential customers, Holy Smoke carries firewood all year long. If you run out, there's no need to worry, we'll be here! - Kimberly

Why Kiln-Dried Firewood?
Kiln dried is heat treated, not left in the elements to release moisture slowly like seasoned firewood . It's free of pests, significantly cleaner, produces a fire with a higher temperature with a better movement and flicker and starts much easier. Kiln-dried also produces less creosote buildup in your chimney.
It is, by far, superior firewood.
